Four powerfull girls, amazing rock sound, that are the Newcomer out of Croatia.
With their latest Songs "Kill it with love" and "Get it back" they´ve showed their Talent and also that they are a new and hot Music Act that you should know.
Energetic, Musical, Crazy, Ambitious, that´s the way we like to describe this Band, matched up of Marcela - Lead Singer, Matilda - Guitar, Irena - Drums, Tea - Bass..
We´ve talked to them to let you know something more about their sound, upcoming Shows, and plans. Check it out
Sounds of Suburbia: Girls your Band was formed 4 Years ago, what was your Motivation to make Music as a Girl Group?
LUMINIZE: Actually we´ve been toghether for 14 years, but Marcela joined the Band 4 years, completed the Band and that´s when the Luminize story started. We lived in a small town in Croatia and there were always male Bands around. We wanted to do the same thing and prove that we can do it as good as they are doing.
Sounds of Suburbia: During the last years you´d collect a lot of experiences. Was there something that marked you for the later way?
LUMINIZE: Well there were a lot of big Festivals, with a lot of amazing artists and this really helped us grow up as a band. Playing before Anastasia, Melissa Etheridge, seeing ZZ Top and all those other names that you look up to. It´s hard to explain the feeling but it´s definitely something that marked us forever.
Sounds of Suburbia: There were some other Girl Groups before, were there any prejudices and why have you ever pursued your way?
LUMINIZE: There is a lot of prejudice but we really don´t mind, showing People they´re wrong. Well maybe it´s a cliche but we love what we do and that´s the reason we persued our way.
Sounds of Suburbia: Your Music is an amazing mix of melodic vocals and catchy rock sound. Are there any Idols or something else you´ll get be inspired in?
LUMINIZE: We get be inspired by the energy and Soul from a lot of different artists, but we are trying to create our own, unique sound.
Sounds of Suburbia: We heard your Songs "Kill it with love" and "Get it back", after the first seconds we got catched of your sound. Do you write and produce on your own - or toghether with a Producer Team?
LUMINIZE: We are happy to hear that!
Our writing process is actually a mix of everything. Some Songs are written by us, some by our Team from "Stargate Music" and some toghether in collaboration. We have a great connection to our prdoucing Team, and they´re so amazing, that´s why it makes it really easy to work toghether.
Sounds of Suburbia: This Year you had some great Live Shows. Is there something planned for the upcoming months?
LUMINIZE: Luckily we have one of the best booking agencies in the Netherlands and also have signed with Universal Music Austria, so both are working hard of getting us new Shows. We have a lot of plans for 2016 but can´t say more actually. So keep your eyes open on our Social Media and Website.
Sounds of Suburbia: On your Facebook Page you´ve told that you´ll join a collaboration with Marin Juric-Civro. What could we expect.
LUMINIZE: Yes that´s true. We have a collaboration with him, one of the finalist of "The voice of Croatia". We are really happy with how everything is going. So hopefully you can expect that we are gonna kill the Charts in Croatia first and later on...?
Sounds of Suburbia: Are your working on an Album? And what could you tell about it?
LUMINIZE: Our Album is in the final Phase. You can expect it at the beginning of 2016. We worked really hard on it, toghether with our production Team, so we can´t wait to release the Album.
It´s our first one so we are emotionally very connected to it.
Sounds of Suburbia: Great News. Well last but not least, could you Imagine another kind of music or just another language?
LUMINIZE: We can´t imagine us playing a different kind of music. We started listening to rock music when we were little, so we kind of grew up with that kind of music. We always feel the most comfortable when we´re singing in English. Of course Croatia is our mother language, we also recorded some Songs in croatian. But who knows, maybe one day we will release a song in Dutch ;)
